Glen to seek 'clarification' on Kilmacud extra man

The club Glen, from Derry, plans to seek clarification from the GAA regarding a possible violation of rules during the AIB All-Ireland club final where Kilmacud Crokes had an extra player on the field during injury time.

Glen has until 3.30 pm on Wednesday to file an objection. The club's chairperson, Barry Slowey, stated that they have been made aware of the potential rule violation (Rule 6.44) and will be seeking clarification. Penalties for breaking Rule 6.44 include awarding the game to the opposing team, replaying the game, or a fine.

The Central Competition Controls Committee (CCCC) may also choose to investigate the incident without a request from Glen. The Dublin team, Crokes, won the match 1-11 to 1-09 but there was controversy as they made two late substitutions and it appeared that one player stayed on the field for the final play.
